kölbi 5G on MOCN Architecture

The Challenge:
To jointly implement with the client a strategy to lead the next-generation mobile services by launching its “kölbi” 5G plan portfolio under a Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) model, using a new network access layer.
The critical challenge was to implement a hybrid real-time monetization logic that enables unlimited browsing exclusively on 5G, while maintaining existing browsing conditions on the operator’s own 4G/LTE network— all consolidated into a single bill and fully transparent to the subscriber.
Our solution:
A comprehensive solution was designed to deliver the first commercial 5G offering, leveraging Oracle Pricing Design Center, enabling client to work together on a comprehensive solution that supports real-time traffic differentiation of traffic based on the access network, without impacting the customer experience or ICE’s financial processes.
The solution was based on advanced configuration of business rules, products, and balances, enabling:
• Real-time differentiated rating based on traffic origin (5G vs. ICE 4G/LTE).
• Coexistence of unlimited and metered models within a single tariff plan.
• Simultaneous management of balances, quotas, application benefits, and rating policies.
Configuration of the commercial offering in Oracle Siebel CRM.
Results:
• Strategic Commercial Enablement of 5G under MOCN: The implemented solution enabled the client to securely and successfully launch commercial 5G plans over a shared access network (MOCN), consolidating a robust architecture that ensures operational consistency, accurate rating, and a customer experience aligned with the highest industry standards.
• Unlimited 5G Data Offering with Seamless 4G Coexistence: A solution was designed and implemented to enable unlimited 5G data plans while ensuring seamless and efficient coexistence with the 4G network. This strengthened the value proposition for end customers by maximizing network utilization without compromising control, monetization, or business sustainability.
• Accelerated 5G Time-to-Market: The implemented solution significantly reduced the time-to-market for the 5G offering, allowing kölbi to rapidly position itself as a competitive and innovative brand. The achieved agility supports rapid iteration of commercial offerings, faster market adaptation, and a sustained competitive advantage.
