The Challenge:
Costa Rica faced a complex problem related to the dissolution of the contract with a concessionaire company entrusted with the technical vehicle inspections. This revealed the lack of these services for the population for a few months. The effect on the importers of new and used vehicles became evident immediately, leading to the loss of millions of colons. It also revealed the lack of an integral and efficient platform that simplifies the processes of vehicle verification in customs, exoneration procedures, assignment of license tag numbers, and technical vehicle inspection. This resulted in undue delays, inefficiency, and the absence of transparency during the process monitoring, creating a negative impact on the importers and the entities involved.
The absolute necessity of our potential clients is unmistakable: they require a solution that simplifies and hastens the vehicle importation procedure, ensures transparency and efficiency, and implements constant communication throughout the process. Additionally, due to the countrylevel use, there is a need to implement high-security standards to ensure the integrity of Costa Rican importer information and the availability of services 24/7. Likewise, it is needed to provide a low-cost, scalable, and highly trustworthy platform infrastructure for the Costa Rican State.
Our solution:
• TD Car is a platform that integrates all the procedures related to the importation of vehicles into one solution. Our software has been specially designed to offer a seamless experience without complications for importers and the entities involved.
• TD Car simplifies the process of vehicle verification in customs, saving time and reducing red tape. It also automates exoneration procedures, accelerates the fulfillment of importation, and minimizes errors and redundant delays.
• One outstanding feature of TD Car is its capacity to deliver frequent updates on the process through real-time notifications. It provides users with total control over the vehicle importation procedure.
• To ensure rapid and cost-effective deployment of infrastructure, guarantee service availability and scalability during high demand, and establish appropriate security levels for a country-wide platform, we have chosen AWS Cloud. AWS Cloud offers a wide range of services and high overall availability.
Results:
• Since its implementation, it has successfully processed more than 100,000 vehicles and has counted 4,451 satisfied users.
• It has conducted more than 43,000 seamless procedures.
• The software simplifies and accelerates the procedures, offers transparency and constant notifications, and consistently obtains positive results.
